I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us. I believe that what Jesus and Mohammed and Buddha and all the rest said was right. It’s just that the translations have gone wrong.
— John Lennon
Leaving religious texts open to interpretation is the downfall of religion itself. If it is truly the word of God then there is no room for interpretation; you either take all of it or none. There is no selective belief.
— Stephen Colbert

TRUMP MOVING THE EMBASSY IN ISRAEL REMINDED ME WHY I LEFT RELIGION

I grew tired of defending my church, pastor, and their actions.
I grew tired of defending my religion, and it's actions.
I grew tired of trying to fit into religion's molds.
I grew tired. Really tired.
I grew tired of the idea of "sin" stealing away my life's experiences.
I grew tired of defending God. If God exists He/She/It is powerful enough to contend and defend themselves.

I'm not an atheist.
I'm not an agnostic.
But I know that I am most definitely not a Christian. Not a Buddhist. Not a jew. Not a Muslim.

I AM JUST A HUMAN.

I'm just a human who has decided that seeking to live inclusively with all people is more enjoyable than not.

I AM JUST A HUMAN.

I decided that standing up for the little guy, the poor, the oppressed, the marginalized feels better than not.

I AM JUST A HUMAN.

Fixing this world is better than giving up accountability and waiting for God or something else to kill everyone, place them in hell so that I can be white, rich, and lazy.

My hell is your heaven. A place where all those that disagree with you are damned so that you can live eternally with others just like you. Gross! Your heaven sounds like Nazi Germany.

I AM JUST A HUMAN.
